What is Rising Stars?
I wanted to make it easier for gaming writers to connect with the gaming blogger community, so I started this little series called “Rising Stars” where both veteran bloggers and readers can discover and welcome new or relatively unknown gaming writers into the community. I hope this will help to encourage and support individuals as well as maintain the health of the gaming blogger community overall!
You can find the last Rising Stars posts here, and now let’s take a look at this week’s five featured bloggers…
★ Monsterlady’s Diary – Emily writes delightfully in depth, personal takes about her experiences with games she is working through, as well as insightful responses to news and events in nerd culture!
★ The Filthy Casual – Ithlinne is someone I know from the Gwent DCG world and is a lovely person. She recently started writing about her experiences in the competitive Gwent scene and I hope to see more from her soon.
★ The Indiecator – A new, eager blogger, Magimos is focused on indie titles, reviews, but also some older titles such as the first Witcher game. Let’s welcome him to the blogging community!
★ Nerd Side of Life – Some of you might already know Alyssa, but more should! An avid Sims fans and steamer, Alyssa writes on a variety of nerd topics. If you ever used to love playing or watching Sims with friends, Alyssa is your girl.
★ The Jolly Gamers – Ryan is also new to blogging in the spirit of Blaugust, an event meant to encourage folks to start and keep blogging. Check out his first post detailing his most highly recommended Nintendo eShop titles! I’m partial to Katana Zero myself.
